a space to work

Supplies needed

Supplies needed

Doing school at home means you need a good space to work each day.

Important Thoughts and Needs:

  • Please make a work space that is permanent so you can store all materials and resources you need. It can be a desk or a table. A book shelf might work too. The best place for this needs to be decided with mom and dad.
  • Keep everything you need at this one space instead of moving stuff around from place to place. That is how stuff gets lost.
  • You will need a device in order to attend Google Meets and work on assignments. (If you are sharing a device, you need to work out how that will happen.)
  • If you need to borrow a device from the school, please call the office. We will be able to provide a device.
  • You will need access to a device that can take pictures of work done so you can email them to the teacher.
  • It will be very useful to have access to a printer.
  • Have a way to keep your supplies organized. This might look like a cup for pens and pencils, a tray for papers, a bin to put books, math journal etc., a place to store your books, a desk drawer for supplies.
  • Good lighting.
  • Keep in mind that during Google Meet time you will need a space that isn't noisy. It's important to hear what is being said clearly and the teacher needs to also hear you speak. If you need to take your laptop into a quiet space during meets, that is totally fine. But keep all your supplies and resources at your regular work space.
