This is a a good time to print out extra math facts sheets.
Then you can catch up. Remember, by Sunday you have to have a total of 10 done for this week.
So you can use Wednesday to catch up or zoom ahead!
Remember to send the cover sheet to me by SUNDAY at the latest.
Do you remember you are supposed to read 20 to 30 minutes a day in the chapter book you chose? So don't forget to do that on Wednesdays also.
This is a good day to catch up on anything you haven't finished.
Have you finished your 2nd Example paragraph?
We met on Tuesday in small groups and you may be done.
But if you are not done, today is the day to catch up.
Go to the Writing page for more information.
It is due on Friday, April 23.
Did you finish Keychart 7?
Remember that THIS IS DUE ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!
This should be number one on your list for Wednesday Work.
You need to make sure that you go over it carefully before you send it to me.
Remember, rushing is not your friend!
It's actually a very good idea to show mom, or dad, or an older sibling.
Sometimes we are "blind" to mistakes we make and someone else can immediately notice it.
Definitely check for:
1. Did you put a box around each title?
2. Did you highlight each subtitle in each section?
(Most common error BTW.)
3. Did you add symbols/pictures for each section?
4. Did you check the screen shot you took on Monday of Coughing Fish's Keychart?
5. Are you sure you put the most important details for your jot dots?
6. Did you draw dark lines separating each section and make sure it is straight across and not a zig zag?
Did you finish the root Vis?
This is the best day to do it.
Did you finish the Dialogue Practice worksheet?
This is the best day to do it.
Go to the Language/Grammar page for more information.
You will always need to go to iReady and work on an assignment for 30 minutes.
It doesn't have to take forever!
This is something that you should ALWAYS DO ON WEDNESDAYS.
IT IS NOT OPTIONAL.
FYI FOR A NORMAL WEEK:
You can check the minutes iReady recorded for you when you check student progress. Last week I noticed that the teacher dashboard sometimes has a different amount of minutes. So you can always do a screen shot of your dashboard if there is a conflict. Okay?
FYI, extra minutes can earn individual points.
Instead of doing the Lincoln Choice Board, you can choose to do something using the STEAM bag that was sent home March 31.
Ideas to do are posted on Google Classroom.
It is required for you to choose one thing from the Choice Board each week.
I will start asking you to send me an email to tell me what you chose.
Some items can earn you individual points.
Even if I don't mention it, you may still get individual points for something if you share what you did with me. That already happened last week. Hooray!
PLEASE CHECK OUT THE LINCOLN CHOICE MENU BELOW
THE LINKS DON'T WORK ON THE DOCUMENT BELOW.
IT IS POSTED ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM AND THOSE LINKS DO WORK. SO IF YOU NEED A LINK, PLEASE HEAD TO GOOGLE CLASSROOM.
There are lots of different ideas for enrichment in the form below.
The idea is to choose ONE each week.
YOU MAY NOT DO THE SAME ITEM THAT YOU DID LAST WEEK. IT NEEDS TO BE DIFFERENT EACH WEEK.
I WILL BE ASKING YOU WHICH ONES YOU DID.
WANT INDIVIDUAL POINTS?
TRY SOMETHING FROM BELOW:
You can only get individual points for one PE activity weekly. But depending on how many minutes you do, points could be different.
Draw a self portrait surprise and send it to me.
Learn about Susan Verde and listen to one of the linked stories. And don't forget to let me know.
Learn about Jackson Pollock. Then try making a Pollock snowflake which is shown in the link.
Listen to one of the kindness podcasts. Then choose an act of kindness to do. Email me what you did.
Check out the activities listen from California Academy of Sciences. Pick something and tell me what you did.
Also, IF you choose to do a STEAM Challenge, and send me the picture, you can get individual points.
