Can't log in? Having tech trouble?
You should go to meet.google.com
Type in "lincolntech" and you will join Ms. Susan's meet.
She can help you figure out the problem.
So don't just sit at home worrying by yourself.
Please go get help.
I will probably not be able to help you.
Ms. Susan is definitely a "techspert."
Last week we met with Ms. Susan twice to practice opening a secure browser, type in the SSID,
and enter the Session ID code.
This code MUST BE WRITTEN DOWN when I give it to you after lunch.
Once you go on your secure browser. all other tabs must be closed. I will put the ID in the chat on our meet but once you hang up, you won't be able to access it.
This code also expires.
You will have about 10 minutes to log in to the test.
If you can't log on or complete a test,
YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED A DAY TO TAKE THE MAKE UP TEST.
Hopefully, you will follow the directions above to get help from Ms. Susan so this doesn't have to happen.
You will be given 2 hours to complete the test.
It's a good idea to set an alarm for 2:45. That way you will be forewarned that you have 15 minutes left.
You can go back and double
check answers etc.
Once time is up, I will stop the test.
If you were not able to finish it, you will be assigned a make up session.
CAMERA AND MIC MUST BE ALLOWED
When you sign into a test session you must allow your camera and mic access.
If your camera doesn't work, the test will be invalid and you will need to take a make up test.
FYI:
Last week my mic had some trouble and no one could hear me talking during the test.
I hope that doesn't happen this week, but iIF it does and you have a question, you can still raise your hand. I will come to you and we will be able to do a chat.
You can also ask Ms. Susan for help.
Students are required to take the test using a secure browser.
The directions on how to set up a secure browser on a home device was sent home a few weeks ago.
Last week I asked you to either:
1. follow the directions to install this
OR
2. request a school device that already has the secure browser on it.
If you need to get some assistance and/or request a school device, you can contact the office and/or Mrs. Satya at satya_susan@cusdk8.org.
Please make it a priority to do this right away.
Please make it a priority to do this right away. so we can do the training session with Mrs. Satya on Thursday.
In order to log on to the test, you will need to know your child's SSID number.
You can access this number on ParentVue.
A flyer was sent home a few weeks ago with directions on how to find this number. I attached this document to an email I sent a few days ago just in case you need it.
Once in ParentVue, on the left menu, click on Student Info.
The 10-digit SSID may be found at the bottom of the page.
Write it down so that it is available for your child to log in to
the assessment.
They will need it every day that they log on so definitely put it somewhere your child can easily refer to it.
If you have difficulty finding it, please call the office or contact Mrs. Satya.
IMPORTANT
This number is highly confidential and I am not allowed to post it or email it to you.
It is super important to do this right away just in case you run into a snag.
All parents in California are allowed to request that their child be exempt from taking the CAASPP test. Please contact the district if you wish to do this.
