**Monday: 4.2**

**Tuesday: none**

**Wednesday: iReady 30 minutes**

**Thursday: 4.3**

**Friday: math games**

**This week we are starting chapter 4.**

**This chapter is about division with remainders. **

** On Monday, we will go over the process for simple division with remainder.**

**For example:**

**28 ÷ 5 = 5 R3**

**On Tuesday, we will not be assigned any math.**

**On Wednesday, please do 30 minutes of iReady.**

**On Thursday, we will practice division with story problems. That means that you have to make sense of the remainder.**

**On Friday, we will get to do some math games (thanks to Adam for choosing this reward)!**

**DON'T FORGET:**

**Wait to turn in work until the next day when we will grade assignments together.**

**AFTER it is graded, you need to take a picture and send it to me ASAP.**

**This should be a habit by now and you should not need a reminder.**

**IT IS DUE THE DAY WE GRADE IT.**

**Your email subject line should say the specific page. Like math 4.3 NOT math homework. **

**As we go through the week, our journal pages will be added as needed.**

Y**ou will do the math in the math book.**

**It is important that you get the assigned page done ON THE DAY WE DO THE LESSON. **

**You can't wait to finish until later or the end of the week. Once we have the lesson, I will always provide work time to do the assignment. I will also be available on Google Meet so you can work with me or pop in and out with questions. **

**You MUST do it right away. You should get it done by lunchtime.**

**The NEXT MORNING, at the beginning of math, we will grade the paper we did yesterday. **

**AFTER IT IS GRADED (WITH YOUR RED PEN) YOU WILL TAKE A PICTURE OF IT AND SEND IT TO ME. YOU NEED TO SEND IT THAT DAY. You cannot wait until the next day.**

**MAKE SURE:**

**1. You attach the picture to your email.**

**2. You put the math assignment in the email subject line. Ex: Math 1.2**

**3. You put the paper down on a flat surface to take the picture and make sure that the whole page is showing**

**IMPORTANT:**

**You need to write clearly and print DARK with your pencil. You may use a BLACK pen instead of a pencil (NOT a thick marker). Otherwise I will not be able to see what you wrote.**

**IMPORTANT:**

**Do NOT go ahead on the math. On Wednesday you can catch up but you may not go ahead.**

**We need to make this a habit.**

**During the lesson, the teacher will discuss the concepts AND write in the math journal.**

**YOU will have your journal out and you should be copying everything I write.**

**Did you know that just writing it helps the information go into your brain?**

**I will also post my math journal pages just in case you missed some of it.**

**Just FYI, the math journal pages won't be posted until afterwards the lessons. It will not happen until the end of the day. So, it is even more important to write your own notes in your own journal.**
