Tuesday:Worksheet "Chapter 7 Review"
Wednesday: iReady 30 minutes
Thursday: Game Review sheet
Friday: Chapter 7 TEST
This week we are finishing chapter 7, which is more stuff about fractions.
On Monday we will NOT grade math.
For our Monday lesson, we will learn how to add and subtract mixed numbers using the distributive property.
On Tuesday, we will grade yesterday's math 7.9.
Make sure you are ready!
On Tuesday will will review all the chapter 7 fraction stuff.
On Wednesday, please do 30 minutes of iReady.
On Thursday, we will grade "Chapter 7 Review." Make sure you are ready.
On Thursday our math lesson will be reviewing to prepare for the test.
We will play a review game.
As part of the game, everyone will need to fold a piece of paper into 8 boxes like we do for our math tests. Number each section.
You will be using this to do problems during our game. After class, you will send this sheet to me. It will not be graded so don't worry about that.
On Friday we will not grade anything.
On Friday, we will take our Math Chapter 7 Test.
We will be starting at a different time because the hybrid schedule is not flexible.
We will meet at 9:30 to start the test.
You will have until 10:50 to finish.
This is not a full 2 hours. If you need more time I can still have you continue until the end of recess at 11:10.
If you need more time, please let me know. I will be able to give you time up to 12:20 but we will need to stop for lunch at that time.
IF you need that extra time, you will miss the language lesson - more stuff about dialogue. But it will be finishing our dialogue game so I don't think you need to worry.
We are going to keep staying in math class until the graded work is all sent in. We tried not doing that last week and many students forgot to send me their graded math.
WE ARE STILL TRYING TO MAKE THIS A HABIT.

During the lesson, the teacher will discuss the concepts AND write in the math journal.
YOU will have your journal out and you should be copying everything I write.
Did you know that just writing it helps the information go into your brain?
I will also post my math journal pages just in case you missed some of it.
Just FYI, the math journal pages won't be posted until afterwards the lessons. It will not happen until the end of the day. So, it is even more important to write your own notes in your own journal.
